TAMANRASSET – The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Kamel Nasri stressed, Tuesday from Tamanrasset, that his department was ensuring, within the framework of the recommendations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to meet the appropriate conditions to achieve African continental integration and to ensure the various strategic and logistical infrastructures to facilitate trade with the Sahel region.

In his speech at the opening of the national meeting on the export of agricultural products and barter trade with the countries of the African Sahel, the minister specified that

the sector takes care to bring together the appropriate conditions to achieve African continental integration through the construction of various infrastructures, namely facilities and roads capable of improving travel conditions in the southern regions and facilitating transport routes. trade in the region.

The sector has been tasked with overseeing the improvement and implementation of ambitious programs “relying on the capacities of the country,” the minister said.

The completion of the realization of the trans-Saharan RN 01 over a distance of more than 4,000 km constitutes one of the efforts made in terms of facilitation of trade and export of agricultural products and barter trade with the countries of the African Sahel. .

The Minister recalled the efforts of the sector in the rehabilitation of airports and transport structures, through their modernization and the development of aerodromes in the wilaya of Tamanrasset and by equipping them with the best equipment in order to meet the needs of the region and Sahel countries in terms of goods transport.

Mr. Nasri underlined, moreover, the importance of the means of logistic support which are the public group of land transport of goods and logistics (LOGITRANS) and Air Algeria Cargo which are

capable of ensuring the support for the success of this process.
